Hollywood, CA. January 11, 2007—A new staged version of the hit film “Memoirs of a Geisha” was a feature part an international entertainment expo downtown Los Angeles. The staged piece replicated the memorable dance piece from the film, which featured original cast members on a dramatic blizzard-filled stage. The stage adaptation was directed and choreographed by Michael Schwandt.
The blizzard scene required large amounts of snow to engulf the performer, however, due to the large amounts of “snow” needed for the scene, safety was a major concern. The producers sought the expertise of Hollywood SnowFX to take the reigns of the snow scene effect. The result was an incredible live experience that captivated the audience!
